Vicki has a Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University. She was introduced to Pilates in 2001, and in 2003 she began her intensive training in the Classical Pilates Method. Vicki is certified through Balance Body. Eternally a student, Vicki has continued her training with students of Joseph Pilates and Romana Kryzanowska; Chris Robinson, Kathy Ross Nash, Jay Grimes, Sandy Shimoda, Mejo Wiggins and Peter Fiasca. She began her teaching at the renowned Cooper Aerobic Center in Dallas, Texas, and from there became a private pilates instructor.

In addition to teaching private pilates sessions, she is a certified personal trainer, TRX, and spin instructor. In 2011 and 2012, she was the fitness instructor for an elite Women’s Wellness program in Dallas. Vicki is also the pilates instructor for Dallas Ballet Center, working with dancers of all ages and the Dallas Ballet Company.

In 2007, she was injured, and after trying various therapies with no success, a friend suggested Muscle Activation Technique (MAT). This experience, and love of anatomy and neurophysiology, led to her going back to school in Denver, Colorado to pursue becoming a Muscle Activation Technique Specialist. Pilates and MAT fit perfectly together and the combination gave her the tools needed to provide clients with the best strength, stability, and mobility they need to perform any activity to their highest capability. After going through the Masters program, she is currently in the process of completing the Rx full body.

In 2015, Vicki began the steps toward opening her own studio, Muscle Activation Dallas. She currently works with athletes, ranging from novice to professional; including the NFL, NHL, and local high school athletes. Vicki specializes in working with clients who have spine and back issues such as Scoliosis. Also, with clients who have Parkinson’s disease. “I am very lucky to be able to share my two passions with so many and I love helping people experience the excitement of being strong, flexible, centered and balanced.”



To personalize each session, Lis learns her clients’ strengths and weakness/tendencies, striving to achieve their goals through form, strength, flexibility and function, while having fun in the effort. Joseph Pilates wrote that pilates “is the complete coordination of body, mind and spirit,” and Lis is passionate about supporting this goal for her clients. She constantly inquires and plays with what the body is capable of achieving. While she respects gravity and chronological age, she is not interested in being beaten by either.

Lis has a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri and continued Postgraduate studies in Education from California States University. She has pilates certifications through Pilates Unlimited, Michael Miller Pilates and The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado—where she in currently in the Masters Program. She specializes in Pre and Post­Natal Pilates with certificates from The Women’s Center of Michigan and The Cooper Institute. Lis has had special training in neck, back and shoulder injuries and scoliosis. She has also completed a course in Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries ­ an Anatomy & Cadaver Study at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City. Lis was Cooper Fitness Center Trainer of the Year in 2010. Lis has traveled the world as a guest instructor including Wayne, PA; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Geneva, Switzerland; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.



Kris began her study of the Classical Method as a student in Los Angeles California, after suffering a life threatening accident shattering her leg and hip. She decided to pursue her certification in the classical method to rehabilitate her own body.

Kris started her studies of the full comprehensive program at the Pilates Institute of Southern California under the instruction of Stacy Vargas. Shortly thereafter, moving to Nashville, she was introduced to Master Instructor Sonje Mayo. Upon learning that Sonje studied directly under Joseph Pilates as a dancer, she made the decision to return to her studies where she received a full comprehensive certification with Peak Pilates under the tutelage of Sonje.

After completion of the program, Kris founded the classical pilates program at the Gordon Jewish Community Center and Hillwood Country club in Nashville. She also runs her private practice rehabilitating people with injuries and spinal conditions such as scoliosis, which is her passion. Her focus is form and fundamentals, having had a massive traumatic injury herself, her goal is to help others live pain free.



Teresa has been an athlete her entire life, competing in a wide range of sports, including soccer, softball, basketball, volleyball and later in several triathlons.

This active lifestyle led to a knee injury requiring two surgeries and pilates techniques to assist in rehabilitation. The non-impact exercises improved her flexibility, balance, agility, core strength, endurance, and also introduced her to a new career.

She is certified by Stott Pilates and Michael Miller Pilates, and in prenatal and postnatal fitness through the Cooper Institute. Teresa also has doula knowledge and training. Her interest in improving balance led to specific training on the Foam Roller, Stability Ball and BOSU. Teresa continues to challenge herself and expand her knowledge base through attendance at teaching intensives with renowned instructors including Jay Grimes, Peter Fiasca, Siri Galliano, Chris Robinson, Mejo Wiggins, and Dorothee VandeWalle.

Teresa has been teaching at the renowned Cooper Aerobics Center and Move Studio since 2004. She is also a pilates instructor at Dallas Ballet Center, teaching their Summer Intensive Workshops. “I strongly believe Pilates can enhance the lives of everyone.”



Alexia P. Hammonds is a classically trained Pilates instructor of 7 years through Power Pilates New York. She
continues to train with renowned teachers Kathi Ross Nash and Chris Robinson to advance her teaching and
deepen her knowledge of Pilates. Her specialty is with seniors and clients with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Her
passion is to work with students of all ages while helping them feel empowered and accomplished while
improving their quality of life through the work of Joseph Pilates. As the creator of Pilates Live and the first ever
Pilates Week, Alexia strives to celebrate the work of Joseph Pilates while creating a stronger sense of
community among Pilates professionals and practitioners.. Pilates Live is the first Facebook Live mat class and
makes Pilates accessible to everyone no matter where they are. Alexia travels presenting at conferences,
colleges, and special events teaching Pilates. Alexia is the current Board Chair of The Authentic Pilates
Union. She’s also Director of Development for Pilates Youth Organization.



Terry has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas and a Master of Music degree from Southern Methodist University. He has worked for many years as a professional musician. He currently is a member of the Dallas Opera orchestra and is an adjunct professor of Horn and chamber music at the University of North Texas.

In 2000, while recovering from an illness Terry discovered Pilates. On the recommendation of one of his instructors and having realized the benefits of Pilates in his life, he began the journey to becoming an instructor. He has certification from Karen Sanzo, Pilates Unlimited in Pilates Mat and Apparatus. He is currently an advanced apprentice in Romana’s Pilates training program. He has also done workshops and advanced study with numerous first and second generation students of Joe Pilates including Jay Grimes, Sari Mejia­Santo, Kathi Ross­Nash, Cynthia Lochard, Anthony Rabara, Chris Robinson, and many others. “Pilates is a gift I can offer to help people stand, walk, sit, and move in their daily lives.”


A.C.E Certified Personal Trainer and MAT Specialist

Paul has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Western State College of Colorado. He was a competitive gymnast for 7 years which led to his desire to learn more about the human body. He moved to Dallas, Tx in 1999 to work at the world renowned Cooper Fitness Center. There, he would hone his skills as a personal trainer. Still wanting to learn more about the body and how to help people move and feel better, Paul decided to get certified as a MAT (Muscle Activation Techniques) Specialist. He was one of the first in Dallas to get certified and has been practicing MAT for over 15 years. The combination of training experience and MAT gives him the tools to help people move and perform at their best. He works with a wide range of people, from competitive athletes to retired folks just wanting to be able to carry their own bags through the airport and play with grandkids.
